THE POWER WE HAVE

We all have influence.

We influence the lives of those around us. And the people we surround ourselves with influence our lives as well.


No man is an island. Each of our lives is bound to influence others, like it or not.


We can make lives, or we can shatter them with our words and with our actions. We all have more power than we realize.


May God help us to use that power to inspire, encourage, and motivate those around us...

MAKING SENSE

Most people place more importance on their cars, their careers, their family, fun, and friends than on God. They enjoy eating, playing, traveling, and sleeping. They have time for TV, or fishing, drinking, and all kinds of things. But they spend so little time reading the Bible. Most of them in fact never read it at all! No wonder their lives unravel. No wonder people feel lost. It’s not surprising the sadness, hopelessness, and despair that so many experience. Man cannot find direction in life if he neglects the one compass that can guide his way. God’s Word is as good for us today as it has ever been. Spend more time in it. Read it. Study it. FOR A HAPPIER MARRIAGE

 Communication in marriage is more than just talking and saying what you want or think. Communication is also listening. To listen, doesn’t only mean to hear with our ears, but to listen with our ears, hearts, and minds. It means to put yourself in your spouse’s place, to really try and understand what they mean. To listen to their heart. To be a good communicator we must first ask questions and be willing to change our viewpoint. We must be open to seeing things as others see them.
