"If I were God I wouldn’t let people suffer.” You hear that all the time. That’s people’s attitude! They are always accusing God of being unfair, unkind, unloving. If they were God they would do things differently. What they are saying is that they are more righteous than God. Imagine that! Man’s natural mode is to get proud sometimes, to get arrogant. We think we know more than God. We think we know how to do things better. Well, God doesn’t expect us to be perfect. But He does expect us to be yielded. And it is as we become yielded that we begin to see God’s love for our lives. It’s only when we are yielded that we see the wisdom of His plan. ..................... Affirmation: Only you are wise, O God. I trust Thee and Thy plan for all mankind. “Now we see through a glass partially, but then we will see clearly. Now I know in part, but then will I know fully.” (1 Corinthians 13:12) * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * With...
Most people place more importance on their cars, their careers, their family, fun, and friends than on God. They enjoy eating, playing, traveling, and sleeping. They have time for TV, or fishing, drinking, and all kinds of things. But they spend so little time reading the Bible. Most of them in fact never read it at all! No wonder their lives unravel. No wonder people feel lost. It’s not surprising the sadness, hopelessness, and despair that so many experience. Man cannot find direction in life if he neglects the one compass that can guide his way. God’s Word is as good for us today as it has ever been. Spend more time in it. Read it. Study it. Contemplate it. And life will start making more sense to you! ..................... Affirmation: Your Word, O Lord, is my guiding light through this complicated maze of life. “His delight is in the Word of the Lord, and in His Word doth he meditate day and night.” (Psalms 1:2) * * * * ...
Communication in marriage is more than just talking and saying what you want or think. Communication is also listening. To listen, doesn’t only mean to hear with our ears, but to listen with our ears, hearts, and minds. It means to put yourself in your spouse’s place, to really try and understand what they mean. To listen to their heart. To be a good communicator we must first ask questions and be willing to change our viewpoint. We must be open to seeing things as others see them. May God help us to be better communicators. May God help us to see things with a Heavenly perspective... And show His love to our mate by TRULY listening. ..................... Affirmation: I listen to my mate and show I really care! “To do good and communicate forget not, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” (Hebrews 13:16) * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * People are getting too judgemental of each other!
