We read about a man whose company is worth three billion dollars, and he answers every one of the 200 emails he receives every day. Imagine that!


He says he gets up at 4 am to do it. He figures that if someone takes the time to write him, the least he can do is write ‘em back an email in response. How cool is that!


No doubt most of the people who email him receive just a line or two which he probably “copies and pastes” into the email, but at least he sends them something! Instead of snubbing them he acknowledges them. With that kind of attitude no wonder he’s so successful!


We are ALL busy these days. None of us like to be ignored. Jesus said, “Do unto others.” That’s not just only being considerate...


It’s also good business!

MAKING SENSE

Most people place more importance on their cars, their careers, their family, fun, and friends than on God. They enjoy eating, playing, traveling, and sleeping. They have time for TV, or fishing, drinking, and all kinds of things. But they spend so little time reading the Bible. Most of them in fact never read it at all! No wonder their lives unravel. No wonder people feel lost. It’s not surprising the sadness, hopelessness, and despair that so many experience. Man cannot find direction in life if he neglects the one compass that can guide his way. God’s Word is as good for us today as it has ever been. Spend more time in it. Read it. Study it.  Communication in marriage is more than just talking and saying what you want or think. Communication is also listening. To listen, doesn’t only mean to hear with our ears, but to listen with our ears, hearts, and minds. It means to put yourself in your spouse’s place, to really try and understand what they mean. To listen to their heart. To be a good communicator we must first ask questions and be willing to change our viewpoint. We must be open to seeing things as others see them.
